Johnny has over thirty years experience dealing with high-net-worth families and managing generational wealth. Early in his career, Johnny hired third-party money managers for large retirement plan clients, building a network of many of Wall Street’s sharpest minds. This ultimately led to running the $250 million portfolio of a family office, further gaining real world experience in portfolio allocation, asset correlations, private equity, real estate and other complex financial transactions. Having been on the “buy” side of investment advice for years, Johnny has unique insights into the true value-add proposition and its fair costs.
Johnny received undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting at the University of Mississippi, where he played and coached college golf. After graduation, Johnny worked for Eddie Merrins at Bel-Air County Club in Los Angeles, earning his Class A PGA Professional designation. Bel-Air is home to some of the most famous and successful people in the world, and afforded Johnny a fabulous training ground for working with high-net-worth families.
Johnny is very active in the community and has served on numerous boards, including the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, Century Club Charities, The Hundred Club, and The First Tee. He and his wife Hannah have three daughters, three grandchildren and three golden retrievers.
